In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we do not accept players under the age of 13. Any players found to be under the age of 13 will be immediately removed without question. By agreeing to these terms, you are also saying that you are above the age of 13.
We at Caeronvar reserve the right to reject any bio if it is incomplete, cliche, plagiarized or not up to our standard of writing.
When making your character, ask yourself, is this cliche? Has this been done before? Is this a character straight out of a book? Is this a character that I will love writing long term? Will this idea be old after the first 2 posts? Can you think of two or three personal storylines you would like to play out with this character in this world without powers?
When writing your background consider the fact that you are extraordinary, your base abilities are far higher then the average human and have set you apart from your peers. You are a 3rd level character in d20 terms, most of your friends didn't even have 1 character level.
Part of the character creation process is buying your base abilities. We are using a very stripped down and simplified d20 system for unawakened characters. As a player you have the option of buying your own abilities at 34 point buy with a base 10. These stats must be illustrated in your writing, deviating from this will not be allowed. If you are unfamiliar with d20 but would like to learn, contact Councilor Terrwyn and she will gladly explain them to you, we have a Google doc or excel spread sheet available to make things simple and easy.
If you don't like numbers or would just rather we do that, please let us know when you submit your character application. If you opt to go this route you my give input but all base chars start with the same number of points so your char will need to be balanced in that regard.
At this point we are not using skills or feats from the d20. We are trusting you to keep these balanced and true to the world.
